Lois has always been fascinated by the relationship between people and their work, and has fully committed herself to making workplaces more effective, creative, and joyful places to be.

After graduating from the University of Toronto in 1984 (MEd in Adult Education and Counselling), Lois worked as a career counsellor within the Ontario college system, helping adults with learning disadvantages to set personal, vocational, and educational goals to maximize their talents and abilities.  

In 1988, Lois began working in rural Ontario, as a therapist where she honed her craft as an agent of change with individuals, families, and communities, and developed her expertise in using solution-focused coaching. This ability to help people move forward led Lois to the corporate coaching field, where she reactivated her interest in career development, life transition issues, and organizational development.

Through CoachLois Associates www.coachlois.com, Lois she helps people navigate such life transitions as unemployment, job dissatisfaction, and mid-life malaise and through her new company Ready2Grow Associates www.ready2grow.com , she helps small business owners who are tired of running their business by the “sweat of their brow and the seat of their pants”, to learn the management and leadership skills they need to take their business to the next level.

In all her various endeavours, Lois incisively cuts through layers to get to the heart of the critical issues at hand.  She then combines deep insights and innovative ideas with practical tools and techniques to help people rapidly move forward in achievable and sustainable ways.
