Introducing PEER MENTORING™ BACKGROUND Great organizations achieve their full potential because they have exceptional people. But few people are born great. Nor are most people exceptional the day they begin work. They become high performers after they have been trained and given the opportunity and encouragement to use their knowledge and skills. With limited resources-time and money-it is becoming increasingly difficult to train people in all the skills that they need. So, more organizations are looking at innovative ways to train and develop staff. The Peer Mentoring™ system is one such approach. Peer Mentoring™ is a system of self-directed learning for groups of people who want to take responsibility for their learning, performance and career. After this one-day introduction into the system your learning group will be able to learn the skills that will add value in their jobs. They will be able to learn what they want, when they want how they want to. This unique process is on the cutting edge of adult learning technology and is field-tested. PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK "Just a quick note to let you know that you have made a great impression on me. I will use your book in future in the many situations I face in a job that is still fairly new to me. Your stories about South Africa really touched me. Thank you and I hope to be able to E-Mail you in the future and let you know of much success." Josie Hartwell. Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association. "Things are going well with the team. I was thrilled by our first session (Oct. 19, 2000) The facilitators did an amazing job on "Time Management", so much so it will be hard for the rest of us to do better! They really took the ball and ran with it. I think the rest of the group got a lot out of it." Thank you for pointing the way." Anonymous "The materials (book and binders) will be invaluable (my bible). I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Cy and work with him. This is one of the best training programs I have ever had, and I've had a lot!!!" Jackie Kearns, Human Resources Development Canada "As usual Cy is right on the edge of important new ideas. The concept is well designed and usable." Bob Chartier, Organizational Management Consultant, Dept. of Indian and Northern Affairs |
